Over two days, 4,000 Dubai residents visited the event
Dubai: The Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Tourism Organization held a promotional event titled "Seoul My Soul," in Dubai. The event, held at The Agenda in Dubai, aimed to showcase the unique lifestyle and culture of Seoul to residents of Dubai.
The event concluded with resounding success, drawing 4,000 visitors over two days. Visitors had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Seoul and experience its diverse offerings.
Highlights of the event
The event featured a range of engaging programs, including a thrilling K-Pop concert by popular groups Oh My Girl and KARD. Attendees were treated to live performances and fan events. Additionally, the Seoul Brand Show highlighted must-visit places and culinary delights of Seoul, while lucky draw events offered visitors the chance to win exciting prizes.
Themed pop-up booths
Five themed pop-up booths provided visitors with a glimpse into the lifestyle of Seoulites. These booths allowed visitors to experience various aspects of Seoul, including festival makeup trends, music video sets reminiscent of K-pop idols, trendy desserts, and beverages, as well as relaxation experiences inspired by the Hangang River. Furthermore, a showcase of newly launched 'Seoul My Soul' official goods added to the event's allure.
Visitor feedback
Feedback from visitors was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their enthusiasm for K-Pop and their interest in Seoul. One visitor remarked, "I've been an ardent K-Pop fan, taken great interest in Seoul, and immediately welcomed this event. I made up my mind to visit Seoul soon after participating in this event."
Plans
Kwon Hyuk-bin, Global Marketing Team Director of the Seoul Tourism Organization, highlighted the event's significance in reaffirming enthusiasm for Hallyu (Korean Wave) and Seoul. He expressed plans to actively promote Seoul's charms to Middle Eastern countries, including the UAE, and attract more tourists from the region to Seoul.
